European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME Executive Board meets with European Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis

December, 1, 2020

The Executive Board of European Entrepreneurs CEA – PME (INSME Strategic Member) met the European Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis.

The meeting took place digitally on 5th November, and it was an occasion to point out the needs of SMEs in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic. Vice President Dombrovskis stated that SMEs are the spine of the European economy and since they have been hit harder by the crisis than larger firms, because of a higher level of vulnerability and lower resilience related to their size, the pandemic effects on them must be contained to save the economy.

The meeting also gave the opportunity to Mr Maurizio Casasco, first European Vice President at CEA-PME and President at CONFAPI – the Italian Confederation of Private Small and Medium Enterprises (INSME Strategic Member) and Patrick Meinhardt, Vice President at CEA-PME and INSME Board Member, to remember President Mario Ohoven and honour his work and his commitment to giving a voice to all SMEs across the world.
