Benefits of Design Thinking for Firms: an analysis from IMP³rove
As part of IMP³rove research activities based on its innovation management benchmarking database, a related analysis on the benefits of design thinking for firms has been published.
Design Thinking has a strong impact on both financial and non-financial innovation results, but companies and business advisors often do not exploit design thinking at the maximum extent. SMEs need to be provided with the necessary skills in design thinking, but prior to this CEOs might understand what design thinking is and how it can be integrated in the innovation management system.
SMEs as well as business advisors need to be trained in order to have a deeper knowledge of this topic enabling them to apply design thinking to innovation processes and by doing so, to exploit it to reach innovation targets and implement innovation management systems.
