EU policies for SMEs have been the topic of the insightful session of the Innovation Management Programme held digitally on the 14th of July by Prof. Evgeni Evgeniev, Research Attaché, and Permanent Representative of Bulgaria to the European Union.
During his speech, Prof. Evgeniev explored the European Policies to boost research and innovation and introduced the European Innovation Scoreboard, a tool aimed at helping the policymakers in building suitable strategies to enhance research and innovation in each European country according to their strengths and weaknesses.
Horizon Europe 2021 – 2027, the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme, was at the core of the speaker’s presentation. According to him, such programme will remarkably contribute to support Europe’s global competitiveness and, because of its innovative elements, it will generate a higher impact than the previous programme not only in the field of innovation and research but also on Europe and European citizens.
