Dear INSMEnews Readers, welcome to the first 2005 issue of the INSME monthly Newsletter!
We are pleased to provide you with an overview on our in progress work to move the INSME Association forward and bring new opportunities and benefits to our Members and Partners all over the world.
The first quarter of 2005 sees as a major activity in our Action Plan the 1st INSME Association Annual Meeting (Barcelona, Spain, 13 - 15 April, 2005) and we do hope you have already booked these dates in your calendar! Don't miss our Conference on International Cooperation to Seize Innovation Opportunities for SMEs. We also look forward to congratulating the 2 winners at the prize giving ceremony for the 2005 edition of the INSME Award: Innovation for Success to take place in Barcelona on April 13.
Furthermore, we are making additional efforts to develop cross border bilateral and multilateral initiatives to support SME innovation in collaboration with old and new Member and Partner organisations in different regions. Participation in calls for tenders and proposals, co-organisation and promotion of international events, co-writing of papers and studies are a few examples of activities that could be carried out by you jointly with us and/or our Members, on a regional or international scale. In this framework, we have already planned, starting in mid-2005, 3 international training programmes on innovation in SMEs in cooperation with some Member organisations in different geographical areas.
We encourage you to make the most of your membership/partnership in INSME by keeping us updated about your priorities and developments so that we can fine-tune our work to your service and better promote your activities.
We are confident to continue sharing our enthusiasm with you to make innovation happen and hope to strengthen, not only virtually, contacts with you over the year.
Wishing you a fruitful 2005!
Ms. Simona Marzetti INSME Secretary General
