INSME President at the EU-African SME Summit

On the 20th and 21st of March entrepreneurs, business federations from Europe and Africa, international institutions, development organisations, NGOs, SME-focused venture funds and financiers will gather in Brussels for the first EU-African SME Summit organised by the European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME (Confédération Européenne des Associations de Petites et Moyennes Entreprises – European Confederation of the Associations of Small and Medium Enterprises). The Summit aims at:

  • highlighting the crucial role SMEs play in the economic development of Africa as well as how European SMEs can contribute to this process;
  • laying down the basis for a permanent collaboration among European and African companies by setting up an intercontinental SME network;
  • promoting an active involvement of the European Commission that could offer tailor-made tools and solutions for SMEs, for example through an “SME-Instrument for Economic Cooperation with Africa”.

    Among the prominent experts enriching the summit agenda INSME President, Mr. Sergio Arzeni will contribute to the debate and participate to the panel “SMEs as protagonists of development cooperation – another story?”.
