INSME signs a Collaboration Agreement with EUIPO to support SMEs

INSME and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) signed a Collaboration Agreement to enhance the cooperation among the two organizations.

The EUIPO is the European Agency responsible for managing the European Union Trade Mark and Design rights with the purpose to promote a harmonious development of economic activities and support the national authorities, EU institutions and the private sector in the fight against infringements of intellectual property rights.

By consolidated this bond the EUIPO will strengthen its network towards SMEs while INSME will be able to promote the information and the increasing of awareness on the importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) within its community.

This agreement will foster joint initiatives such as training programmes, exchange of information and publications, webinars and other initiatives that will contribute to the empowering of EU SMEs through the use of intellectual property as a key to protect and strengthen their innovation and competitive advantage.
