INSME welcomes a new member on board: The Bulgarian Development Bank

INSME is pleased to welcome a new member to enlarge the Network outreach: the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB).

DBD was established in 1999, due to its unique position in the local banking market, its mission is aimed at implementing the state policy in the Bulgarian economy with a main focus on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, project financing for export-oriented companies along with investment banking and public projects of international importance. Furthermore, BDB is committed to facilitating access to finance for SMEs and to ensuring a sustainable development of the country through the enhancement of innovation.

DBD’s Executive Directors, Jivko Todorov and Nikolay Dimitrov stressed the engagement to join INSME as a Sustaining Members stating that: “BDB’s membership in INSME will contribute to the development and support of small and medium-sized business, which more than ever need effective policies, instruments and tools to overcome the unprecedented economic crisis and social challenges”.
