GETTING TO GUANGZHOU
Guangzhou is easily accessible by plane both from many western cities and from any Chinese ariport, or rather you can choose to get to Guangzhou from Hong Kong.
By Air
 Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (acronym IATA: CAN) is the main airport of the city, very close to downtown (28 km).
Airport Facilities
There are several Information Desks tel. 020 - 86137273, both on the first and the third floor of the terminal building.
Medical Service: near the No. 25 Gate on the first floor of the terminal building. Tel. 020 - 36066926 (24 hours).
Business Centres: offering long distance phone calls, photo copying and fax services, the centres are near the No. 3 Gate on the first floor and inside the A Departure Area and B Departure Area on the third floor of the Terminal Building.
In addition, there are smoking rooms at the A and B departure areas on the third floor.
Airport Services
Left Luggage Service: The service counters are on the first and the third floors. They offer a left luggage service from 06:00 to 22:00.
Lost and Found: please refer to the counter near the No. 1 Gate in the Departure Hall on the third floor. Tel. 020 – 36066946
Ticket Centre: the domestic ticket counter is located near the No. 3, 11 and 14 gates on the third floor, while the international ticket counter is near the No. 5 and 6 gates on the third floor.
Guangdong Development Bank: it offers foreign exchange opposite the No. 3 Gate in the International Arrivals Hall from 08:00 to 21:00.
If you come to Guangzhou via Hong Kong
you will have more choices, by air, by train, or by bus.
By air
There are many domestic flights from Hong Kong to Guangzhou the price is around USD105.

Hong Kong International Airport
By train
There is a direct train from Hong Kong to Guangzhou. It takes around 2 hours. The fare is USD24.36 and USD 29.48.
A cheaper way to go to Guangzhou from Hong Kong is to take a KCR train from Hong Kong to the border, cross the border, walk to Shenzhen Train station at the Chinese side of the border and take a train from Shenzhen to Guangzhou.
By coach
There are express coaches everyday between Hong Kong International Airport and Guangzhou. The journey is 4 hours, however, the border can be very crowded sometimes. The coach ticket is USD12.82.
GETTING TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT
Guangzhou has developed a convenient external transportation system which is supported by Baiyun Airport, railways and expressways.
Bus service
There is a convenient bus service for passengers wishing to reach the city directly from the airport.
The major transportation way for passengers of Guangzhou City and the Pearl-River delta is the Airport Express Bus.
Buses leave every 15 minutes.
Car hire
Self-drive cars are available, although most visitors choose to hire a car with a driver (often from their hotel).
Taxi service
Taxis are available from the taxi stand outside the aiport terminal building.
Taxi: the flat rate for taxis in Guangzhou is 7 Yuan/USD 1.01 for the first 2.3 km (about 1.4 miles) and then 2.2 Yuan/USD 0.32 or 2.6 Yuan/USD 0.37 per km.

Taxis are available from the taxi point outside the terminal building. Dong Fang Hotel is an household name to the drivers. It costs about 90-100 RMB. We suggest you to take the yellow cab/taxis.
