The INSME Association currently includes 79 Members from 5 continents: 16 governmental bodies, 18 International Organisations, 13 International NGOs and representatives of 32 networks and intermediaries acting in the field of innovation and technology transfer to SMEs.  

Among the 16 governmental bodies, 12 are Full Members (Federal Ministry of Economy, Family and Youth, Austria; INNOFUND, P. R. China; IPI, AREA Science Park and FILAS, Italy; Ministry of Economy, Mexico; Ministry for SMEs, Commerce, Tourism and Liberal Professions, Romania; SECO, Switzerland; Dubai Technopark, Ruwad Establishment, Mohammed Bin Rashid Est. for SME Development, Khalifa Fund to Support and Develop Small & Medium Enterprises UAE) and 4 participate as Observers (API, Tunisia; Wallonia Foreign Trade and Investment Agency - AWEX, Belgium; IIE, India and INCDTP, Romania).

Among the 18 International Organisations, 14 are Full Members (African Development Bank Group, APEC SME Innovation Centre, ALADI, CEI-ES, COMSATS, G-NEXID, IIC-IADB, RITLA, SELA, UNCTAD, UNDP Mexico Office, UNECE, UNESCO and UNIDO) and 4 are Observers (EACI, OSCE, WIPO and EIF), while among the 13 International NGOs 8 are Full Members (ANIMA Investment Network, ASTF, EBN, ECSA, European Proclusters Association - EPROCA; FUNDES, ISBE, Intrasoft), 4 are Associate Members (EBAN, EURADA, WBAA and WTA) and 1 (ISPIM) participates as Observer.

Among the 32 networks and intermediaries participating in the INSME Association, 23 are Full Members (Australian Industry Group, Australia; Small and Medium Enterprise Foundation, Bangladesh; SEBRAE, Brazil; PROPAÍS - Corporation for the Development of Micro-Enterprises, Chamber of Commerce of Manizales – CCM, Colombia; ASIA, ASTER, CODEX, De Tullio & Partners, INNOV-Hub, Global Service, INNOVA, META Group, D'Appolonia, Polo Navacchio S.p.a., Umbria Innovazione and Unioncamere Piemonte, Italy; Italian-Libyan Chamber of Commerce, Libya; TUSDEC, Pakistan; CEFIAL, Peru; FIVEC, Spain; Russian Agency for Small and Medium Business Support - SIORA, Russia; VEGO Consulting, Turkey); 3 are Associate Members (INNOVA Europe sàrl, Belgium; Centuria-RIT, Italy; CHIC, Hungary) and 6 Observers (ABCnet, Studio Brevetti, IBAN, Italy; FSMB, Armenia; Shriram Institute for Industrial Research, India; ABIGEM Izmir, Turkey).
