By air › Tunis Air is the national carrier. It serves more than 49 destinations with regularly scheduled flights and 80 destinations with charter flight services. There are regular direct flights to Tunisia from all over Europe, but no direct flights from Asia, Australasia, South America or the USA.

From the airport, you can reach Tunis city centre: - by taxi (insist on the meter — shouldn't cost much more than 5 dinars) - by bus: departures are fairly regular
You can also rent a car, as all major car rental companies are represented at the airport.

By boat › SNCM (Société Nationale Maritime Corse Méditerranée) runs ferry services from France and Italy to Tunisia: http://www.sncm.fr
The major routes are Marseilles-Tunis (travel time: 21 to 24 hours) and Genoa-Tunis (travel time: 21 to 24 hours).

The main ferry terminal in Tunis is at La Goulette, but check your departure terminal carefully as there are also other ports.
By train Regular trains (run by SNCFT) connect Tunis with major towns. The main route is between Tunis and Gabès, via Sousse, Sfax and Gafsa. It is essential to purchase a ticket before boarding the train or double the fare may be charged. Several daily trains run on each route, many with air-conditioned accommodation and a buffet.
Tunis Central Station is near Place de Barcelone.
