European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME is a Brussels-based business federation counting on 20 European associations including 2 million enterprises voluntarily associated. European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME represents the interests of its members towards the institutions of the European Union and offers services in the field of public procurement and public relations.
The confederation focuses since 2014 on 5 thematic challenges for the interest of its member organisations:
1 - Better Access to Finance for SMEs;
2 - The European Mittelstand with Europe's Youth: better professional training, more entrepreneurs, more youth employment and Europe-wide mobility;
3 - An SME-friendly Energy Policy in Europe;
4 - SMEs 4.0 - in the centre of the EU's Digital Singel Market policies;
5 - European SMEs in the World: internationalisation, foreign trade and investment.
To obtain concrete results on these 5 challenges, the members have set up 5 thematic forums, organising info and policy events, promoting best practices, participating to the public dialogue, and proposing pilot and research projects that support related crucial issues for Europe's SMEs.
In the framework of the first EU-African SME Summit hosted by European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME in Brussels on the 20th and 21st of March, BVMW, the European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME (the European Confederation of the Associations of Small and Medium Enterprises) and INSME together with PACCI, FIPME, CONFAPI, AFDEE (F), ESBA, EVBB and YES for Europe signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of a European-African SME Alliance. The MoU lays the foundation for the alliance between SMEs in Africa and in Europe, involves a total of 156 European and African SMEs Associations and foresees a mutual cooperation with a view to supporting sustainable economic development to benefit entrepreneurship in Africa and Europe.
