Last February INSME Vice President Andrea Di Anselmo (Vice-President & Founding Member at META Group, Italy) was in Pamplona and released a video interview on Social Economy for the occasion of a stakeholders’ meeting for the ReConfirm (The Regional Co-operation Networks for Industrial Modernisation) initiative, a new service of DG Grow and the European Commission to assist European regions and industrial stakeholders in implementing their action plan under the Smart Specialisation Platform for Industrial Modernisation. Together with participants from different EU regions, Mr. Di Anselmo discussed Social Economy and the potential and feasibility of a joint international investment. In this short interview video he states that it is becoming more and more difficult to understand how research and innovation can turn into an impact for the society, the economy and in this way contribute to the growth of a region and of a company. A joint international investment can really solve the challenges social enterprises are facing today. It should leverage on the specificities and challenges of each region, and encourage private-public partnership enabling social enterprises to contribute to the well-being of the region, of its cities and its people.
