2025 Triple Helix Conference in Monterrey

28 October, 2025

On October 28-31, 2025, the city of Monterrey, Mexico, hosted the Triple Helix Conference. The event brought together scholars, policy makers, and practitioners to discuss and advance our understanding of present and future challenges and to provide innovative solutions.

The Triple Helix Association (THA) is an international non-profit and non-governmental association with scientific purpose and global reach. A Member of INSME, the Triple Helix Association was founded in 2009 in Turin, Italy, with the aim of promoting scientific findings from the interaction of academia, industries, and governments. Under the leadership of Professor Moacir de Miranda Oliveira Jr., President of Triple Helix, the Association continues to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange across sectors.

The conference featured a workshop on corporate venture capital held by Jerome Engel providing insights from the Silicon Valley, and a workshop on the triple helix ecosystem held by Dr. Josep M. Pique introducing participants to the THA roadmap to transform academic models into practical achievements.

The theme of the event was “Clusters of Innovation: Building Resilient Ecosystems for Prosperity and Sustainable Progress.” The venue of the conference was far from accidental. Located in the heart of Mexico, and just 150 miles from the border with the US, Monterrey plays a strategic role in the cross-border logistics operations with its neighbour. Long recognized as an industrial powerhouse with a robust manufacturing sector, the city also makes a significant contribution to innovation in logistics practices.
