The SheEmpower Project, of which INSME is proud to be a partner, officially kicked off on December 10, 2025. This 30-month initiative, co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg NextMed program, aims to enhance the sustainable growth and competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises while fostering job creation across the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean region. The project specifically targets female entrepreneurs and women-led businesses, equipping them with the tools, mentorship, and support needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving business environment.
A core objective of SheEmpower is to empower women by boosting their skills in innovation, digitalization, and e-business. The project will offer a wide range of capacity-building initiatives, including training programs focused on essential business management, financial literacy, marketing strategies, leadership, and entrepreneurial development. These programs are designed to address the specific challenges female entrepreneurs face, such as limited access to resources, networks, and expertise, particularly in areas like digital transformation and e-commerce.
Through a strong focus on digital transformation, SheEmpower seeks to equip women with the necessary skills to expand their businesses, reach new markets, and stay ahead of evolving consumer demands. As digitalization reshapes industries, many women-led businesses struggle to keep pace with technological advancements, making digital skills development crucial for their long-term success. By offering tools and knowledge on e-commerce strategies, digital marketing, and e-business, SheEmpower empowers women to grow their businesses and achieve sustainable success. Additionally, the project supports innovation by providing transitional support for the creation and growth of women-led startups and SMEs.
Covering a diverse geographic area, including Cyprus, Spain, Turkey, Lebanon, France, Italy, and Egypt, SheEmpower aims to create a strong platform for knowledge exchange, networking opportunities, and partnership-building, connecting women-led businesses and startups across these countries. This collaborative approach helps women entrepreneurs leverage digital technologies to enhance their competitiveness, resilience, and adaptability in an ever-changing market.
