INSME is happy to announce that the RaDAR Project, financed in the framework of the COSME Call 2020 for the co-financing public procurement of innovation consortia, will kick off in January 2022.

The project was presented during the INSME General Assembly held in Sofia on December 10th, by María Sanchis – Health Innovation Project Manager – AQuAS, project coordinator. She explained that the project objective is strengthening the health system by reinforcing the preparedness and ensuring its resilience, fighting the Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR): AMR occurs when bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites change over time or no longer respond to available drugs or treatments, making infections harder to control and increasing the risk of disease spread. RaDAR aims to promote access to public tenders and contracts to develop new innovative solutions to address challenges for European SMEs

INSME will coordinate the activities related to Communication and Dissemination. Together with the other members of the consortium, INSME will provide internal and external communication and dissemination with stakeholders at European and regional level with the information about the RaDAR project’s activities, events, and achievements. Moreover, activities oversee the identification of opportunities for financing of post-project development work, including process innovations, contacts with potential investors, and knowledge transfer activities.

As mentioned above, project coordinator is AQuAS – Agència de Qualitat i Avaluació Sanitàries de Catalunya: The Catalan Agency for Health Quality and Assessment (AQuAS),a public law entity attached to the Department of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya that acts in the service of public policies and is subject to the private legal system.
