GreenItaly 2022 Report by Symbola Foundation and Unioncamere

2 November 2022

The president of Unioncamere, Andrea Prete, highlighted during the presentation of the thirteenth edition of the GreenItaly report that in the year of post-pandemic recovery, in 2021, the share of eco-investor companies grew, relaunching the country’s green transition process. “In fact, we have gone from a 21.4% share in 2020, a year in which green investments had in any case held up, to one of 24.3%. For years our production world has shown specific attention to the themes of environmental sustainability, and today,’ added president Prete, ‘also because of the energy emergency, it looks with interest at the potential of renewables. But unfortunately, authorisation times are slowing down the installation of plants for the production of this type of energy. Suffice it to say that in 2021 only 1,351 MW of power was installed, a figure that is a long way from the target set by the government of 70,000 MW to be installed by 2030‘.
