New Tender Launched Under the RaDAR Project

2 February 2025

In January 2025, a new tender was launched as part of the European RaDAR project, an initiative focused on the public procurement of innovative solutions to combat the urgent issue of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). INSME, as a key partner in the RaDAR project, plays an instrumental role in supporting efforts to foster innovation aimed at tackling this critical global health challenge. This particular tender seeks the procurement of cutting-edge solutions for the rapid detection and control of antimicrobial-resistant microorganisms at the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), a public, non-profit institution which serves primarily onco-hematological patients, many of whom are immunocompromised. In such a vulnerable patient population, the swift detection and management of antimicrobial-resistant infections are vital for improving outcomes, particularly in critical care scenarios.

ICO’s tender is divided into three distinct lots, each addressing specific aspects of AMR control: the Bacteraemia Lot, which focuses on the rapid detection of bacteraemia or sepsis, the Screening Lot, which aims at the rapid detection of antimicrobial-resistant microorganisms in screening for colonization or infection, and the Software Lot, dedicated to procuring innovative IT solutions to assist in the detection and management of AMR.

The deadline for submitting proposals is March 12, 2025, at 1:00 PM (CET).

The total budget allocated for this procurement is €825,000.
