CONFAPI to represent SMEs at the European Economic and Social Committee

October 23, 2025

CONFAPI will be represented at the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) by President Cristian Camisa and Head of Legal Affairs Stefania Multari for the next five years. Their appointment marks a renewed commitment to championing the interests and needs of Italian SMEs at the European level.

CONFAPI, the Italian Confederation of Private Small and Medium Enterprises, plays a central role in supporting the country’s business fabric. Its President, and Vice President of INSME, Cristian Camisa, together with Head of Legal Stefania Multari, will serve as the voice of Italian SMEs within the EESC for the upcoming term. This recognition represents an important milestone for the SME community, whose perspective often differs from that of larger corporations, particularly when navigating today’s complex market challenges.

As the EESC provides key policy analyses and recommendations to major EU institutions as the European Commission, the European Parliament, and the Council of the European Union, CONFAPI’s participation will be crucial in ensuring that the voice of SMEs is structurally embedded in the European policy-making process.

This milestone marks a decisive step toward recognizing SMEs as strategic pillars of the European economy and ensuring that their priorities are fully reflected in future European decisions.
