The Executive Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium‑sized Enterprises in Bulgaria (BSMEPA), INSME’s Member, organised a three‑day series of information events in Vratsa, Montana and Vidin, drawing more than one hundred local SMEs eager to enhance their competitiveness. The opening ceremony in Vratsa’s municipal conference hall on 10 March was led by the agency’s Executive Director, Dr Boyko Takov, who welcomed entrepreneurs, local officials and representatives from the Serbian embassy.

During the sessions, participants received detailed guidance on how to apply for indirect support, joint business services programmes and pilot projects. The agency also highlighted the importance of trade missions, business forums, and capacity-building activities such as digital competence training and mentoring to help SMEs enter international markets.

Local authorities in Vratsa, Montana and Vidin praised the events for creating a “new stage of growth and added value” for regional businesses, while entrepreneurs highlighted the value of direct dialogue with BSMEPA experts in shaping future development strategies.

Overall, the information days have reinforced BSMEPA’s role as a leader for cross‑border cooperation and SME innovation, offering concrete pathways for small and medium‑sized firms to access funding, expertise and wider European market opportunities.
