INSME Training Course on Green Financing and Funding Opportunities for Lebanese SMEs

30 November 2021

Starting from November, INSME is leading a training course for 40 Lebanese entrepreneurs and companies that are willing to go international. The course is organised within the framework of the EU co-funded project REESTART, aimed at contributing to promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and job creation in support of Lebanon’s clean energy transition. The project is led and coordinated by ICU – Istituto per la Cooperazione Universitaria, an Italian International Non-Governmental Organization active in Lebanon and Middle East countries through many co-operation projects with special emphasis on the training of local human resources.

This INSME learning program aims to provide Lebanese SMEs with the necessary knowledge to build their capacity to access green financing sources at national and international levels. The training program is structured in four modules, on financial literacy and green project financing, project management, international opportunities of funding, and an interactive workshop. The learning program has been designed according to the needs of participants and linked to the actual scenario and opportunities in Lebanon. Each module combines theoretical models, case studies, and current business practices, and is taught by professors from Università di Roma La Sapienza, Università Cattolica of Milan, and INSME experts active in the field of international cooperation and EU projects.
