INSME Will Contribute to the EU African SMEs Summit 2021

28 July 2021

After 2019’s  1st EU-African SME Summit marked a milestone in the history of cooperation between Africa and Europe with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of a European-African SME Alliance, and the postponing of 2020’s event due to the pandemic, the EU AFRICAN SME SUMMIT is back. The conference will be held simultaneously in Rome and Dakar on 21st-22nd October and will contemporarily be broadcasted online.

The event is organised by INSME members CONFAPI and European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME. Furthermore, INSME President Mr. Sergio Arzeni will be moderating an expert panel on how Practical professional training makes competitive and resilient SMEs. This will be the perfect opportunity to strengthen and open new exchanges between European and African SMEs, which represent the backbone of many economies. The summit aims to highlight new opportunities for entrepreneurs and to define together with decision makers and experts the roads towards a fruitful economic cooperation, thus favouring the rise of new alliances, new investments, partnerships opportunities, and, through the opening of new markets, provide a spur to innovation development. The Summit also aims at strengthening regional entrepreneurial culture, thus generating jobs, inclusive growth, and social and political stability, with a significant focus on Intra-African trade and the sustainable, human and economic development of SMEs.

The event includes different conferences and meetings in which entrepreneurs and experts will discuss developing entrepreneurial ecosystems and financial tools useful to foster the development of a new model of sustainable SMEs.

The agenda of the Summit will be available soon, in the meantime to learn more about and to register your participation for online seminars visit the EU-African SME Summit page.
