The MIRRIS (Mobilising Institutional Reforms in Research and Innovation Systems) project aimed to encourage more efficient use of European research and innovation programmes and participation in the European Research Area of the 13 target countries (Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia).
From July 2013 to June 2016 MIRRIS has set up a process of analysis, dialogue, mutual learning among key stakeholders, that is, the research, innovation and institutional actors.
MIRRIS organized 39 policy dialogues in EU 12 countries and Croatia and 13 coaching exercises. More than 800 stakeholders participated to these exercises with the involvement of 85 national Ministries. The 39 policy dialogues contributed to identify barriers, prioritise actions for a better participation to the European research area and to mobilise synergies between Horizon 2020 and European Structural & Investment Funds – ESIF.
INSME contributed as a partner to the MIRRIS project.
