As digital technologies and data are affecting our economies and societies, it is crucial to manage this transformation in a way that enables countries to take out the most from it.
With the recently developed Going Digital Toolkit, the OECD helps countries navigate these changes and the trade-offs that policy makers need to make.
Built upon seven policy dimensions – access to communications infrastructures, services and data; effective use of digital technologies and data; data-driven and digital innovation; good jobs for all; social prosperity and inclusion; trust in the digital age; market openness in digital business environments – the Toolkit gives users the possibility to interactively explore a series of data and to assess the state of digital development of their countries.
Data are collected in three different areas, users can choose to explore them i) under the seven policy framework dimension ii) by selecting and comparing their countries with others iii) by themes such as digital government, digital skills, SMEs.
