The XPRESS Project Announces the next Co-creation workshop in Venice on April 22

31 March 2022

Since 2019, INSME is partner of the EU Project XPRESS, funded under the EU Horizon 2020 programme, which gives support to Public Procurements to facilitate the collaboration between SMEs and public sector for the adoption of RES (Renewable Energy Sources) in regions. Its aim is to help stimulate constructive dialogue between the public and private sectors, evaluating the impact of GPPs and other strategies on the probability of SMEs to survive the so-called “valley of death”.

On April 22nd, 2022, the XPRESS Project will host the Co-creation Workshop “Experiences and solutions for the development of GPP in the renewable energy sector”, co-organised with eAmbiente. The meeting, which will be in Italian, aims to identify, present, and discuss solutions for overcoming bureaucratic, financial and technical barriers in public procurement in the renewable energy sector and support the dissemination and development of GPP. The event will be held in Venice, Italy, at the Palazzo Grandi Stazioni. The event will foresee the participation of local public administrations and SMEs working within the RES sector, identified through the support of Confapi – the Italina Confederation of SMEs, INSME Member. You can find the full agenda here.

This event follows the 2nd Stakeholder Café of Belgium “Experiences and Solutions for the Development of Green Public Procurement in the Renewable Energy Sector” organised by EURADA on March 24th, 2022. Its aim was focused on the not yet fully developed potential of public procurement and supporting the application of innovative technologies in energy transformation. The event was also an occasion to share successful examples of Green Public Procurement (GPP) in the energy sector and the elements that have contributed to their success.
