VIII Foro Pymes in Montevideo

The VIII Pymes Forum, taking place in Montevideo, Uruguay from April 15-17, 2024, is a groundbreaking initiative organized by the IILA – International Italo-Latin American Organization. This event fosters dialogue and collaboration between Italy and Latin America on crucial issues related to SMEs and achieving sustainable territorial development.

The forum serves as a platform for various stakeholders to come together. National and local institutions, SMEs and their corresponding business associations, financial institutions, universities, and technological service centres all participate in this valuable exchange of knowledge. This year’s edition focuses on specific sectors and production chains: sustainable tourism, the fashion system, dairy production, innovation processes within SMEs, and the wood industry. Additionally, another topic will be discussed, the funds and financial instruments available to support SMEs.

The VIII Pymes Forum aims to foster dialogue and collaboration between Italy and Latin America on challenges and opportunities related to SMEs and sustainable territorial development, while also identifying business opportunities and partnerships between Italian and Latin American SMEs. The forum facilitates the exchange of public policies and programs that support SMEs, with the promotion of technology and innovation in empowering them.
