Agreement between SIMEST and Banco BPM for the growth and internationalization of Italian companies

Banco BPM and SIMEST, a company within the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti group, have entered into a collaboration agreement to promote and support growth and internationalization strategies for Italian businesses.

The aim of the agreement is to assist companies in accessing subsidized financing provided by SIMEST under the Fondo 394/81, managed in agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – MAECI.

These funds are intended to support businesses, particularly SMEs, in their investments in internationalization and digital and sustainable innovation; the six financing lines have a maximum duration of 6 years, including 2 years of pre-amortization, and for some types of enterprises, it’s possible to access a non-repayable contribution of up to 10%. The 6 financing lines are aimed at supporting the opening of new commercial structures abroad or the strengthening of existing ones, participation in international fairs and events, the marketing of goods or services produced in Italy or with an Italian brand abroad, investments in digital and ecological transition, temporary hiring of specialized professionals (Temporary Managers) for internationalization projects, obtaining product and sustainability certifications, as well as consulting for internationalization processes. Lastly, Banco BPM will also be able to finance a portion of the investment program under favorable market conditions.
