During ANIMA’s Annual Conference, held in Tunis from June 21st to the 24th to build upon the success of the EU project THE NEXT SOCIETY, which featured INSME as the organizational force behind policy labs and shared national experiences on innovation in the Mediterranean, ANIMA Investment Network launched a follow up project: the Euromed Clusters Forward initiative, with the aim of fostering the achieved innovation and promote competitiveness as well as cooperation.
ANIMA and nine of its members, with INSME being an affiliate partner, developed the EuroMed Clusters Forward initiative, co-financed by the European Commision, with the scope of empowering clusters and promoting inclusive innovation and competitiveness in the Euromed region through three axes: improving cluster regulatory framework and incentives for collaboration in order to develop businesses and their competitiveness, improving clusters’ capacities to develop strategies and provide quality services to their members, activate Euromed value chains by promoting prospective sectoral visions and supporting the creation of alliances of EU and Southern Mediterranean clusters in key regional value chains.
