Bulgaria–Brazil Business Forum in Sofia

On 21 July, the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency – BSMEPA, organised the Bulgaria–Brazil Business Forum in Sofia, bringing together business leaders and institutional representatives to explore new opportunities for trade, investment, and cooperation. The event included B2B meetings and networking activities aimed at creating new partnerships between Bulgarian and Brazilian companies.

During the forum, Dr. Boyko Takov, Executive Director of BSMEPA, highlighted the growing potential of bilateral economic relations, noting that trade between Bulgaria and Brazil reached approximately USD 750 million in 2025, an increase of nearly 20% compared to 2024. He emphasised the opportunities offered by the Brazilian market for Bulgarian companies seeking international expansion.

Discussions focused on export opportunities, market diversification, and cooperation in strategic sectors such as high technology, renewable energy, infrastructure, and innovation. Participants also explored the potential for Brazilian investments in Bulgaria and joint projects benefiting from the two countries’ complementary strengths.
