COMSATS participates in the 3rd Asia-Pacific Forum

On 25th November COMSATS (INSME Member) joined the 3rd Asia-Pacific Forum on South-South and triangular Cooperation exploring “The Role of South-South Cooperation in Building Back Better from COVID-19 Pandemic in the Asia and the Pacific”.

This event attracted the participation of heads of development cooperation and agencies within the Pacific and Asian area. During the forum, Ambassador Fauzia Nasreen, advisor at COMSATS Secretariat, illustrated the activities fostered by his organization to share information, knowledge and best practices and furthermore to strengthen the synergies among COMSATS’ Members states in order to face the Covid-19 outbreak. He also informed about some initiatives pursued during the pandemic: the telehealth scale-up and the R&D developments of COMSATS Centres of Excellence located in different states.

 

 

Finally, in order to enhance an efficient South-South cooperation in Asia-Pacific for post-Covid-19 recovery, the Ambassador suggested a greater involvement of international organisations at a sub-regional level.
