30 March 2023

On March 29th, INSME’s member, CONFAPI, celebrated 75 years of activity!

The event saw the presence of the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Antonio Tajani, and the Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Mr Adolfo Urso, as well as Maurizio Casasco, INSME’s Vice President, participating as Chairman of CEA-PME.

“For 75 years entrepreneurs have carried on their businesses, they know before politics the difficulties and the crisis of the production system. In this regard, we ask our current government to listen to us as entrepreneurs did in 1947”, argued Cristian Camisa, the President of CONFAPI. Therefore, he pointed out the necessity to guarantee the future of youth and women entrepreneurship, employing new technologies to leave a healthy planet for our children.

He also touched on fiscal reform, explaining that “a decrease of taxes between small and big enterprise is needed”. His speech moved to the export and automotive topics, underlying that SMEs contribute to 48% of the total made in Italy export, which must be defended and protected. Finally, the President reiterated the position previously expressed by Confapi. “We support the Government – he said – in its stance against the agreement in Europe to use e-fuels in the transition and reject biofuels on which many of our companies have already bet and which, moreover, would certainly be cheaper”.

This event represents an opportunity to reaffirm the vital role of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the Italian production landscape as well as to give awards to member companies to aim for a better and even more productive future.
