ESIL Upcoming Workshop on Gender-Focused Angel Investments

25 June, 2024

The ESIL project aims to boost the innovation and investment ecosystems in the EU by creating thriving, connected, and diverse angel investment communities, especially in countries where angel investing lags behind. They are supported by funding from the European Union through the European Innovation Council and SME Executive Agency EISMEA.

ESIL will host an online workshop, Building Sustainable Gender-Focused Angel Investment Across Europe: the Role of ESIL Next Gen Angels, on July 11. This workshop will be aimed at advancing gender diversity within the European angel investment ecosystem. Through interactive panel discussions and presentations, participants will delve into the current state of women angel investors in Europe, explore successful strategies for increasing gender balance, and identify opportunities to cultivate gender-focused angel communities. The event will convene angel investors, researchers, policymakers, and representatives from European organisations.

A particular focus will be placed on the role of ESIL Next Gen Angels, as a pioneering initiative aimed at fostering a new generation of younger, more diverse and gender-inclusive angel investors in Europe. By equipping attendees of the workshop with valuable insights and fostering collaboration, ESIL hopes to develop a concrete roadmap for the amplification of ESIL and sustainable gender-focused angel investment.
