Going beyond profit – OECD for Social Economy

21 April 2023

The OECD Committee for SMEs, Regions and Cities’ Youtube channel has posted a series of videos in April addressing the importance of Social Economy and Entrepreneurship. This is a more human-centred way of seeing business that is growing in the SME landscape especially after the COVID pandemic, keeping into account people’s personal story and the importance of community when delving into entrepreneurship. Social entrepreneurship is about seeing a need in the community and taking action to address it.

This symbolizes an invitation to go beyond growth for the sake of profit or economic progress, putting people at the centre and combines economic and social value without sacrificing one for the other. If interested in this series of videos, click here!
