March, 2, 2021

INSME Secretary General Giovanni Zazzerini has been invited by H&D Partners (INSME member) to take part in the first online training course for managers of Innovation Support Organisations (ISOs). The course, funded by the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs and organised by CIHEAM Bari, within the WATERMEDYIN Project framework, started in Lebanon on January 25th. Its aim is to contribute to sustainable development in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), by promoting youth entrepreneurship, youth inclusion, women entrepreneurship, and socio-economic opportunities in the water and marine-coastal sectors in the Mediterranean Region. The course’s programme focuses primarily on the Entrepreneurship Support Value Chain (ESVC), exploring the methodology and toolsets developed to assess business support organisations and entrepreneurial ecosystems in order to promote sustainable and effective operations. In addition to Lebanon, the project also involves Palestine and Tunisia.

Professor Zazzerini’s interventions concentrated on the importance of networks for innovation, as he offered a detailed analysis of the innovation process as well as a breakdown of the different types of networks and their characteristics.
