On the 21st of February the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Trade Agency organized the Italy – Azerbaijan Business Forum. The event was also the framework in which Okhran Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and INSME Secretary General Giovanni Zazzerini – at the presence of Ilham Aliyev, Head of State of the Republic of Azerbaijan and of the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Luigi Di Maio – signed a Memorandum of Understanding which ties down the two organizations.
Initially for a period of three years the two organizations commit to:
- Exchange relevant information, publications, policies and measures about innovation and SMEs development;
- Organize seminars, trade fairs, exhibitions and other promotion activities which could enhance the cooperation between SMEs.
This MoU is part of a plan of close collaboration between the two parties which found a further confirmation in the recent adhesion of the SMBD Agency to INSME.
