International Entrepreneurship Forum (IEF)  in Padua

The 19th IEF Conference was held on 6-8 September in Padua, led by Professor Jay Mitra, and the University of Padua. 

The conference focused on finding new opportunities for sustainable forms of new venture creation, as well as interacting and involving new partners in an alternative pathway for growing sustainable ventures. The event was designed to encourage interactive discussions and debates on crucial topics, promising to be an enriching and insightful gathering of experts from diverse fields, engaging in dynamic discussions and exploring the evolving landscape of entrepreneurship in the digital era. For those interested in Artificial Intelligence and its impact on SMEs, INSME provided valuable insights together with other experts around Europe. Featuring discussions with INSME’ President, Sergio Arzeni, and Roberto Santolamazza, INSME Member from t2i, the session on Artificial Intelligence and its development offered a comprehensive view of AI’s role in the entrepreneurial landscape and prepares INSME Annual Meeting that will be held in October in Berlin.  

The INSME secretary general, Giovanni Zazzerini also presented a paper titled “Innovation ranking and sectorial focus as determinants of European accelerators success: The case of ACCELERACTION project”, written with Achilleas Barlas, Vasiliki Brimpou, Victoria Bellou and Yeoryios Stamboulis from the Economics department of the University of Thessaly  within the AccelerActionEU project, which aims to create a unique virtual space to connect top tech accelerators across Europe towards a strong and inclusive innovation ecosystem. 
The research delves into the strategies and structure of accelerators from 21 European countries seeking to identify the determinants of their success.
