INTRASOFT International, INSME Member, has recently signed the new “SOFTDEV” contract with the European Commission’s Directorate – General for Taxation and Customs Union (DG TAXUD).
The consortium, led by INTRASOFT, will provide consultancy, specification, development, and maintenance services related to taxation and customs high-availability information systems. The SOFTDEV contract follows on from the existing CUSTDEV3 and FITSDEV3 contracts and will carry on with their mandate to support DG TAXUD in its pan-European directive. In addition, it will support DG TAXUD in upgrading its software development methodology to Agile and modernizing its development toolsets.
More specifically, the consortium will provide:
- Business analysis, modelling and data integration and harmonization services
- Support in the domain of architecture and IT strategy services such as enterprise architecture, reference architecture(s) and application architecture
- IT system and application development and maintenance services
SOFTDEV will focus on designing and implementing systems in a harmonized, agile and paperless manner, in the areas of taxation and customs. The goal is to develop the customs union as a vital part of protecting the external borders of the EU and tackle any tax obstacles, in order to support community objectives that eventually improve of all European citizens’ user experience.
