An important new step has been taken by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of Azerbaijan (KOBİA) to promote the green economy and face environmental issues. Recently, the Agency has joined the UN Global Compact. This is a forum that brings together more than 20,000 business and non-business partners in more than 160 countries. The primary goal of the organization’s members is to adapt their strategies and activities to internationally accepted principles associated with human rights, labour rights, environmental protection, as well as the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”.
Therefore, KOBİA as a party to the UN Global Compact, will continue to contribute to the global sustainable development strategy by aligning its strategy and activities with the relevant principles of the Sustainable Development Goals, supporting the development of SMBs and the establishment of new business entities.
