INSME’s member, ANIMA, organized the MEET Africa Forum of Diaspora Entrepreneurs which took place on February 11th in Paris and hosted 3,516 visitors who participated in a constructive meeting between African entrepreneurial ecosystems, diaspora and African entrepreneurs, African institutions, support structures, recruitment agencies, financial actors, foundations, sponsors, and many speakers in conferences and workshops. Among the visitors, there were important figures like the Minister Delegate for Development, Francophonie and International Partnerships, Chrysoula Zacharopoulou, who spoke at the opening of the MEET Africa Forum about the importance of the diaspora in fostering bonds of trust and partnership between Europe and Africa.
The MEET Africa Forum granted a large exhibition space that offered a dedicated area to recruitment and training for entrepreneurs from the cultural and creative industries in Africa, and a space to present incubators that support the diaspora.
Overall, the forum was an opportunity to strengthen the industrial sector from Africa by promoting creative industries, such as music, cinema, fashion, or crafts, representing a significant potential for income generation.
