OPTOI, a Trento-based sensor technology company founded in 1995, has been named “Trentino Innovative SME of the Year” during a ceremony at Palazzo Roccabruna where INSME participated. The award celebrates OPTOI’s cutting-edge projects, including sensor solutions for biomarking and mechanical parameter detection planned for 2024-2026, its strong international revenue, and its strategic focus on intellectual property.
The participation of INSME’s board member Roberto Santolamazza of t2i helped strengthen the connections between INSME and local innovation stakeholders, laying the groundwork for potential future collaborations. Gratitude is extended to Luca Capra, Deputy Director of the Startup Area and Head of the Network Area, and Paolo Pretti, Director of Trentino Sviluppo, for making INSME’s participation possible, which allowed the appreciation of an Italian excellence represented by the noteworthy entrepreneur Alfredo Maglione of OPTOI.
OPTOI is also competing for the national “InnovUp Innovative SME of the Year” award, with the final set to take place in Rome this December.
