In November, the FAB-BUS project held its first on-site visit in Casablanca, Morocco, with two days of co-creation, ideation and collaboration that brought together Moroccan, Bulgarian, and Italian clusters in fashion design, textiles, and the creative industries.
This 18-month initiative, funded by ANIMA Investment Network under the Euromed Clusters Forward program, co-funded by the EU, aims to strengthen collaboration between clusters across the Euromed region, fostering sustainable business development, innovation, and job creation in the fashion and creative industries. Through cross-border partnerships, the project envisions unlocking new business opportunities and partnerships that will stimulate growth and enhance the global competitiveness of SMEs.
Led by INSME, the project brings together partners like CreaTech Bulgaria, the Moroccan Denim and Fashion Cluster (MDFC), and the Textile Sectoral Group of Unioncamere Piemonte, aiming at reinforcing economic and cultural ties across borders.
Over the course of the two-day visit to Casablanca, participants had the chance to explore the MIM Textile Exhibition, where B2B meetings offered valuable insights into cutting-edge trends in innovation and craftsmanship. Additionally, an interactive workshop provided a platform for identifying new partnership opportunities and collaboratively brainstorming strategies to leverage these opportunities. This dynamic exchange of ideas set the stage for stronger collaboration and future partnerships between the three countries.
The next phase of the project will include a series of online webinars, followed by two in-person meetings. The first will be held at the Createch Summit in Sofia, Bulgaria, in March 2026, and the second during Torino Fashion Week in Italy, in June 2026. These events will provide clusters with valuable opportunities to connect, collaborate, and explore innovative approaches to enhancing the regional value chain across the three participating countries.
