From 14 to 29 September 2026, INSME, in collaboration with the University of Florence, delivered the She Empower Training Programme, co-financed by the EU Interreg NEXT MED Programme.
The training was one of the core deliverables of the She Empower project, a 30-month initiative implemented by partners from Cyprus, Egypt, France, Italy, Lebanon and Spain, aiming to strengthen the competitiveness of women-led businesses across the Mediterranean and support women in developing sustainable and innovative entrepreneurial activities.
The programme combined in-person sessions in Florence with online learning to teach participants how to build and manage a business. Topics included planning, finance, marketing, innovation, digital tools, intellectual property, and business growth. Public speaking and pitching sessions also helped participants develop their ideas and present them clearly.
The programme then concluded with a two-day workshop in Rome on 28–29 September at Spazio Attivo Roma Casilina – Lazio Innova, with two interactive days dedicated to female leadership, personal development and entrepreneurship. Participants exchanged experiences and perspectives on the challenges and opportunities of women’s entrepreneurship, explored the FabLab as a space for prototyping and innovation, and heard inspiring stories and first-hand experiences from women entrepreneurs. The final workshop also provided an opportunity to present the She Empower Coaching Programme, opening the door to continued support and one-to-one coaching beyond the training itself.
