The European Commission (EC) has recently published a recommendation on a code of practice on the management of intellectual assets for knowledge valorisation. This new code is designed to boost the impact of research results and innovative technologies as well as advance the use of knowledge. It presents instructions on managing strategic intellectual assets and is targeted at research and innovation (R&I) actors.
The EC has also released a recommendation on a code of practice on standardisation. This new code hopes to help with the seamless integration of R&I activities with standardisation.
In addition, the Commission has released two factsheets to make the codes of practice more widely known and to advance the adoption of the codes by more R&I actors.
