The second edition of the EUIPO SME Fund goes live

After almost 13 000 SMEs were helped navigate the IP landscape in 2021, EUIPO – the EU Intellectual Property Office, INSME Partner, launches the second edition of the SME Fund, a European Commission initiative. The new SME Fund will run from the 10 of January 2022 until the 16 December 2022. With up to EUR 47 million in funding, and savings of up to EUR 2 250 available for EU SMEs, the EUIPO will continue to help European SMEs on their IP journey, spreading awareness on the importance of IPRs and their registration. EUIPO also recently launched the new Ideas Powered for business website, which aims to become a one-stop shop for SMEs across the EU, offering up-to-date and trusted information in jargon-free language and access to support from a number of sources. The website hosts wide-ranging IP-related information, including an interactive map of public and private EU entities in the EU offering support along with a comprehensive list of tools and training material to meet the needs of all EU SMEs, including beginners and start-ups. It is also designed to help more advanced SMEs looking to enhance their competitiveness in a globalised environment. The website contains information about events and webinars that will be interesting to SMEs, together with world IP-related news.
