Unioncamere: Enhancing and Empowering Territories

12 February 2025

Recognizing the crucial role of foreign investment in Italy’s economic growth, both central and regional government bodies have introduced strategic policies to enhance the country’s appeal. Businesses, in partnership with the Chamber System, emphasize the importance of territories in identifying key assets and strategic investment opportunities. To address challenges such as Italy’s competitiveness in attracting investments and the Chamber System’s role in leveraging territorial expertise, Unioncamere and Promos Italia as part of the new SEI – Supporting Italy’s Export Project, created the specialized training program to equip export promoters with valuable insights into national strategies and investment policies.

On February 11, INSME was present during the first session of the initiative titled Enhancing and Empowering Territories: Opportunities for Foreign Investments and Benefits for SMEs with the Chamber System, organized by Unioncamere in collaboration with Promos Italia. Starting from real-life case studies and the analysis of international benchmarks, and aiming at providing Chamber officials with essential tools to enhance their territories’ competitiveness, the event on February 11 session focused on governance, policies, and actions supporting foreign investment attraction. Key speakers included Amedeo Teti (Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy), Pietro Infante (Unioncamere), and Marco Fedato (Promos Italia), who discussed investment governance, the role of the Chamber System, and global investment trends. The session concluded with a discussion and Q&A. Unioncamere and INSME both reaffirm their commitment to supporting international business cooperation and investment attraction, strengthening Italy’s economic positioning on a global scale.
